Do you want to know about Speed Skating?
Power. Speed. Precision. This is Speed Skating. Pure racing on ice. With long, sweeping strides and razor-sharp technique, skaters chase the clock on the 400m oval, building momentum with every lap. It’s a test of strength, endurance, and timing, right down to the final thousandth of a second. Races range from 500m sprints to 10,000m distance events, plus Team Sprint, Team Pursuit, Mass Start, and the dynamic Mixed Relay—a fast, strategic race that pairs male and female Skaters in pursuit of a shared goal. Competitions culminate in the annual ISU World Championships, alternating between Single Distances and Allround & Sprint formats. The season runs from November to March.
