FAMILY AFFAIR
She believes that her and her husband Dmitriy Morozov's relationship benefits from the fact that they are both international speed skaters. "80% of our conversations are about sport. We always predict how fast we will skate, what our laps will be, how we will skate in general. We understand each other, we always discuss our mistakes, we analyse videos, we make suggestions to one another. This brings us very close. The fact that we are both athletes, and even train in the same team, is very motivating. We have common goals, we understand each other and this helps us in training. Our parents were very happy when they found out that we were going to the [2022] Olympics [in Beijing] together. They believe in us and support us in every possible way. Our families are very close." "When the Alau Ice Palace was built [in Astana, Kazakhstan], they came to school to recruit children. I had no idea what speed skating was but with every training session, I fell more and more in love with skating."
