COMBINING SKATING DISCIPLINES
Having trained in roller speed skating from childhood, he began speed skating on ice in 2020. "I always say that I'm not quite sure which one I like the most. If I had to choose one I would pick roller skating because it's the sport that I've been doing since I was a little kid. I am more keen to do something that I had done for so long and not because of the chance of making a living from it, as is the case with speed skating [on ice] because it is an Olympic sport. For now I will try to combine both as long as I can perform very well in both. I am lucky that I am good at the sport that I like, and for now I'm focusing on both." (lavozdegalicia.es, 04 Jan 2023)

He joined SCD Rabadeira in Oleiros, Spain, as a way to burn off his excess energy. His mother has also served as president of the club. He tried several sports in his youth, including football, padel and tennis, but decided to pursue roller speed skating. In 2020 a coach encouraged him to try speed skating on ice.
