RETIREMENT
He retired from competitive speed skating in July 2018 to focus on working at his family's butcher's shop in Inzell, Germany. "I achieved great sporting results, unfortunately I was denied the big success, the participation in the Olympics [Winter Games]. It wasn't meant to be, although I gave everything for it.
