MOTIVATION
He says he was able to use the disappointment of his performance in the 500m at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, where he slipped just after the start line, as motivation. "My fall in Pyeongchang was a motivating kick. Before the Games, I was not sure about my future. I didn't know if I wanted to continue with the sport, but due to this situation I felt there was only one way to go. I got a new goal in life. It's not about showing everyone else what I'm capable of, but proving to myself what I'm capable of. I have competed in speed skating for many years and I have had many great achievements. Everything happens for a reason. It's not only about the Olympic Games, but about all competitions. I have to prove to myself that I can." (onet.pl, 17 Jan 2020)
