PANDEMIC BLUES
He admits to losing motivation for short track during the break from competition and training in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "We didn't touch the ice for a couple of months. That was pretty bad. Then it kept being on and off. It was pretty hard for motivation. Every time we had a bit of stability and it was going good and we had a competition coming it was cancelled and then motivation would go back down. I was tired, I didn't feel good. I needed a break at that time. I had to hit the reset button. It was a bit too much. I didn't see any reason to come and just feel bad on the ice. That was the roughest time."
