    Kim won the ISU Crystal Globe for the best overall skater of the 2023–24 ISU Short Track World Tour (isu-skating.com/short-track).

    Kim won her first ISU World Championship gold medal in 2024 in Rotterdam. She was victorious in the 1500m (isu-skating.com/short-track, 20 November 2025).

    She initially wanted to get involved in figure skating after being inspired by Korean figure skater Kim Yuna. No figure skating classes were offered at Korea National Sport University when she began learning to skate, so she ended up in short track.
