Issariotis composes and performs electronic music with his group Bizune that he founded in 2002. He uses one of his own musical compositions for his Short Program. Issariotis has gained international notoriety as a developer of Synthesizer and Hardware-Editor computer programs. His software creations have been featured in international audio production magazines. In 2001, Issariotis decided to take a two year break from skating to focus on his music and software programming careers. Previously representing Canada, Issariotis returned to figure skating to compete for his ancestral homecountry Greece. He has struggled with a herniated disc and pinched nerve in his lower back which has kept him off the ice for long periods.
