Vaclavik's older brother Lukas and younger sister Aneta compete at the international level in figure skating as well, representing Slovakia and the USA respectively. Their mother is a former skater and from Czech Republic while their father is from Slovakia. Coach Stephane Lambiel (SUI) is a two-time World Champion and the 2006 Olympic silver medalist. Coach Tomas Verner (CZE) is the 2008 European Champion.
