Miura/Kihara are silver medalists in the Team Event at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games. Miura/Kihara teamed up in 2019 and are the first Japanese Pair Skaters to win the ISU World title, the ISU Four Continents title (both in 2023) and the ISU Grand Prix Final title (in 2022). They were the first Japanese Pair in ten years to win medals at the ISU World Championships (silver in 2022) and Grand Prix (silver and bronze in 2021). Kihara is a three-time Olympian (2022 with Miura, 2018 with Miu Suzaki and 2014 with Narumi Takahashi). The couple missed most of the first half of the 2023/24 season as Miura recovered from a back injury. Coach Meagan Duhamel is the 2015 and 2016 World Pairs Champion (with Eric Radford), representing Canada.
