Vaturi's brother Andrea (six years older) competed in ice dance at the World level. The couple missed the 2010/11 Grand Prix series as she broke a rib in a practice accident. Coach Barbara Fusar Poli is the 2001 World Ice Dance Champion and 2002 Olympic bronze medalist (with Maurizio Margaglio).
