Müller/Dieck teamed up in spring 2014. Dieck hails from a skating family. His mother Martina is a figure skating coach, his father Frieder is a judge. His sister Dominique (three years older) competed in Ice Dance at the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships in 2009 and 2011. Müller was bron in Russia but moved with her family when she was three years old. The couple has relocated to Russia for training in 2018. Coach Anjelika Krylova is the 1998 Olympic silver medalist (with Oleg Ovsiannikov).
