Muramoto/Reed teamed up in 2015. They are the first Asian Ice Dancers to win a medal at an ISU Championship (Four Continents 2018). Reed is a seven-time National Champion of Japan and two-time Olympian with his sister Cathy Reed. Cathy Reed retired from competing following the 2014/15 season. Muramoto's older sister Satsuki competed in single skating at the international level.
