Turkkila and Versluis competed in singles at the international level and are former Finnish national champions in singles until teaming up. She competed at European and World Championships in singles 2011-2014. They are the first Finnish ice dancers to win an ISU Grand Prix Medal (bronze at Grand Prix Espoo 2022) and first Finnish ice dancers to win a medal (bronze) at the European Championships since Susanna Rahkamo/Petri Kokko in 1995.
