Sale competed internationally for several years with Jason Turner. When they split up after the 1994 season, Sale competed for 3 years in singles. Best result: World Juniors 1995, 12th. Sale and Pelletier had already tried out together in 1996, but didn't form a partnership until the summer of 1998, when a coach suggested another try. Pelletier had competed with 3 different partners, as well as in singles, before teaming up with Sale. Sale/Pelletier switched coaches in June 2001, moving from Montreal to Edmonton.
