Gamez/Korovin teamed up in 2021. They are the first Philippine (and Southeast Asian) pair skating team to qualify for the ISU World Championships (in 2023). Gamez and her former partner David-Alexandre Paradis were the first pair skaters to represent the Philippines in ISU competition (2020 ISU Four Continents Championships). Korovin was granted Philippine citizenship in 2024.
