Denney and Frazier reteamed in May 2011 after skating together from 2005-08. Both started as roller skaters and competed together in Pairs before switching to ice in 2004. He started roller skating in 1998. She was the 2003 US Roller Skating silver medalist in pairs. Denney's older sister Caydee competed in Pair Skating at the world level and is the 2012 U.S. Champion (with John Coughlin). Denney's parents, Bryan and Dee Dee, were national roller skating champions, and her father placed third at the World Championships in singles. The couple missed the 2015/16 season as Denney suffered an injury to her knee. Coach John Zimmerman is the 2002 World bronze medallist (with Kyoko Ina).
