Faiella/Scali teamed up in 2001 after competing sucessfully at the junior level with their previous partners. Faiella/Scali moved to Detroit (USA) to train with Pasquale Camerlengo in 2006. They are coached by Natalia Linichuk and Gennadi Karpanossov since 2009. Linichuk/Karpanossov are the 1980 Olympic Ice Dance Champions. The couple had to withdraw from the Grand Prix Cup of Russia in November 2010 as Scali suffered a back injury.
