Pogrebinsky/Benoit teamed up in March 2014. She also has a background in single, synchronized skating, ballet, compettive ballroom dancing and was regional rythmic gymnastics champion and national competitor. He switched from hockey to ice dance at age 8 after watching Ice Dance at the 2004 U.S. Championships. He also competed in singles until switching to Ice Dance full time.
