Verhaegh/Van Geffen were the first Dutch Ice Dance couple to compete at the ISU World Championships since 1984 when they debuted in 2021. Coaches Oleksandra Nazarova/Maksym Nikitin (UKR) are the 2015 World Junior bronze medalists.
