Guignard/Fabbri teamed up in 2010. They are the first Italian Ice Dance couple to win the European title in nine years (in 2023) and the first to win a World medal in nine years (silver in 2023). Fabbri competed in singles at the international level until 2007. He is a multiple national medalist in singles and was ranked 18th at the 2007 World Junior Championships before focusing on Ice Dance. He also was a National novice Champion in Ice Dance with Stefania Berton. Fabbri's brother Andrea (three and a half years younger) competed at the international level in Ice Dance. Guignard formely competed for France with her brother Christopher and two other partners. Coach Barbara Fusar Poli is the 2001 World Champion and 2002 Olympic bronze medalist (with Maurizio Margaglio).
