Shin/Nagy teamed up in 2024. She competed in singles until then. Nagy competed for the USA and for his native Hungary in pairs. Shin's parents are from South Koera and she speaks Korean. They have relocated to Canada for training. Coach Meagan Duhamel (CAN) is the 2015 & 2016 World Pairs Champion and 2018 Olympic bronze medalist (with Eric Radford).
