Cain competed in singe skating at the international level from 2011 to 2016 and as well in pairs from 2010 to 2012. She was ranked fourth at the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships 2011 with Joshua Reagan. When the couple split in 2012, she focused on single skating, but teamed up with Leduc in June 2016. Cain's cousin Sean Carlow competed in figure skating at the World level representing Australia. Cain got married to Dalton Gribble on June 1, 2019. Cain/Leduc are coached by her parents. Her father Peter competed at the World and Olympic level in Pair Skating with his sister Elizabeth for their native Australia. They also won the bronze medal at the 1976 World Junior Championships. Cain's mother was a nationally ranked ice dancer and her brother plays ice hockey competetively.
