Hocke/Kunkel teamed up in spring 2019. They are the first German Pair Skating team to qualify for the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final (in 2019). She is a 2018 Olympian with former partner Ruben Blommaert. Hocke/Kunkel switched coaches after the 2021/22 season and relocated to Italy for training. He cut both hands in a practice accident in July 2025 and missed a few weeks of practice. They had missed the German Nationals 2024 and 2025 due to injury.
