Magarian and Guzman began skating at the ages of 8 and 5 respectively. Magarian's favorite athletes are Michelle Kwan and Michael Johnson. She would like to study marine biology after her competitive career. Guzman was paired with Natalie Vlandis from 1993 to 1998, winning the US Junior Championships in 1996. His older brother was a former competitive skater. He hopes to study Law after his skating career.
