Reed/Ambrulevicius teamed up in spring 2017. They are the first Lithuanian Ice Dancers to win an medal at the European Championships in 18 years (bronze in 2024, after Margarita Drobiazko/Povilas Vanagas took bronze in 2006). They are also the first Lithuanian Ice Dancers to win a Grand Prix medal in 12 years (after Isabella Tobias/Deividas Stagniunas won bronze at 2011 Skate America). Reed's older siblings Cathy and Chris competed at the Olympic level in Ice Dance, representing Japan. The late Chris Reed continued to compete with Kana Muramoto until 2018. Allison Reed competed for Georgia and Israel with her former partners. She received Lithuanian citizenship in December 2024.
