Britschgi is together with Kimmy Repond the first Swiss skater to win a medal (bronze) at the European Championships (in 2023) since Sarah Meier took the title in 2011. Britschgi missed the 2023 National Championships as he had broken his collarbone in a cycling accident. Coach Michael Huth competed at the international level representing (East) Germany.
