Pauli's sister Sonja (three and a half years older) is a three-time World Junior competitor in Ice Dance and competed until 2010. His mother Ursula and his uncle Herbert Holik competed at the World level in ice dance as a team, and his grandparents Traude and Herbert Holik were ice dancers as well.
