Top Figure Skating Teams Set to Compete at ISU World Team Trophy 2025 in Tokyo

For the world’s top six figure skating teams, the season is not over yet. The spotlight now shifts to Tokyo, Japan, where they will compete in the ISU World Team Trophy 2025 from April 17 to 20.
Team USA leads the standings heading into the event, having accumulated 9,331 points, ahead of Japan (8,939 points) and Italy (6,195 points). France (5,207 points) ranks fourth, followed by Canada (4,992 points). Making history, Georgia has qualified for the first time with 4,495 points.
Each team will feature:
- Two Women’s singles skaters
- Two Men’s singles skaters
- One Pair Skating team
- One Ice Dance couple
The participating skaters will be announced at a later date.
How Teams Qualified
Teams earned their spots based on a point-scoring system using ISU World Standing points accumulated by their top two Women’s and Men’s singles skaters, top Pair team, and top Ice Dance couple. The primary events considered include:
- ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating events & Final (2024/25 season)
- ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2025
- ISU European Figure Skating Championships / ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships 2025
- ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships 2025
- ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (2024/25 season)
With world-class athletes set to compete, the ISU World Team Trophy 2025 promises to be an exciting finale to the figure skating season.
