Olympic Champions, World Champions and rising stars are set to light up the ice as the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Series returns for the 2026/27 season. The ISU has announced the line-up for one of figure skating's most prestigious competitions, where the world’s best skaters will battle for points, prize money and a place in the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Final.
What to know about the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix 2026/27
The countdown for the 2026/27 season is on: From Olympic Champions to ambitious newcomers, the series has it all, showcasing the best of the best in a high-level competition. The ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix assignment is one of the most anticipated off-season news for athletes and fans around the world.

The field is further strenghthened by exciting newcomers, including ISU Figure Skating Junior World Champions Mao Shimada and Rio Nakata of Japan, adding even more intrigue to what promises to be a thrilling Grand Prix season.
A total of about 150 skaters/couples from all around the world will compete in the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix events.
Six events, six countries, six weeks: The ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix hits the road
The series kicks off at the end of October with the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix de France 2026 in Angers, France (October 23-25) followed by the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Skate Canada International 2026, Kelowna, Canada (October 30-November 1). The third stop is the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Cup of China 2026, which will be held in Shenzhen, China, for the first time (November 6-8). The series continues with the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Skate America 2026 in Everett, WA, USA (November 13-15) and the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Finlandia Trophy 2026 in Helsinki, Finland (November 20-22). The final stop is the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix NHK Trophy 2026 in Tokyo, Japan (November 27-29) where the last spots for the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Final are on the line.
The road to the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Final
Skaters earn points based on their placements at each event, making every performance count. At the end of the series, the top six Women, Men, Pair Skating teams and Ice Dance couples will qualify for the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Final in Chongqing, China (December 10–13), where the season’s first major titles will be on the line.
