Do you want to know about Figure Skating?
Artistic. Athletic. Precise. This is Figure Skating. A dazzling fusion of sport and performance, it turns the ice into a stage where skaters soar, spin, and tell stories in motion. Four disciplines define the sport: Women’s and Men’s Singles, Pair Skating, and Ice Dance. Singles and Pairs compete in a Short Program and Free Skating; Ice Dancers perform a themed Rhythm Dance and a Free Dance. Points are awarded for both technical elements, like jumps, spins, and lifts, and overall presentation. The highest score wins, and every program can shift the standings. The season runs from August’s ISU Junior Grand Prix to March’s World Championships.
